The goat was last seen at 2 p.m. that day and was not considered suspicious until police learned of similar murders in West Brookfield. It had appeared to be uninjured at that time. The man said he believed the animal suffered a broken neck, but could not determine how it was broken.
Police said charges could be filed if the culprit is found.
Police in MA are looking for the person or people who killed two baby goats and left them on the back steps of their owner's home. He then contacted North Brookfield police.
'There's no question it was intentional, ' said Sgt. Matthew Letendre, adding that the pet goats were not killed by another animal.
Police say the goats were killed sometime between 7 p.m. Sunday night and 10:30 a.m. Monday morning.
North Brookfield and West Brookfield police are now working together on the investigation, according to the later, North Brookfield report.
