Andy Samberg and wife Joanna Newsom welcome first child

Andy Samberg, who turns 39 later this month, and his wife, singer-songwriter-harpist Joanna Newsom, 35, have welcomed a baby girl, Samberg's rep Jillian Roscoe confirms to USA TODAY. Unfortunately for fans of the Saturday Night Live alum, neither his daughter's name nor details of her birth are publicly known.

In a recent interview with Larry King, Newsom actually opened up about the prospects of having a child with her comedic husband. "I love babies", he said.

While on the talk show, she said of Samberg: "He's my favorite person in the world". "He's probably the biggest superfan of my music".

In January 2016, the Brooklyn Nine-Nine lead told reporters that he didn't feel any extra pressure to start a family just because his friends Seth Meyers and Justin Timberlake were dads. "She respects what he does with his songs", the insider said.
