WWE announces Bayley suffered a shoulder injury on Raw

WWE announced Bayley suffered a right shoulder injury during her match against Nia Jax during Monday night's Raw episode.

The injury seemingly happened when Jax threw Bayley out of the ring towards the middle of the match.

Shoulder injuries have proven costly to the Leader in Sports Entertainment in the past, specifically in 2015 and throughout 2016.

Swelling to the shoulder has prevented WWE doctors from giving a full diagnosis, something they hope to rectify in the coming days.

Once again, it's unclear if the injury is legitimate or part of the storyline ahead of SummerSlam.

"We've determined the injury is shoulder-related, and she will be going under further diagnostic testing later this week to determine the extent of the injury and also establish a timetable for recovery."

Bayley was scheduled to face Alexa Bliss for the RAW Women's Championship at SummerSlam in three weeks time, but this injury will more than likely put Bayley out of action for the foreseeable future. Bayley wasn't even sure about it when speaking with WWE. "I guess we're gonna see". There were a couple of moments and big moves from Nia Jax, but there is one moment that looks quite brutal and as if it really could have caused an injury to "The Huggable One". Bayley said the following while she was being examined backstage.

Confirmed matches for SummerSlam as of August 1.

At this time, the Raw Women's Championship Match is still on the card and only time will tell if it needs to be changed.
