A set of newborn twins and their 1-year-old sister were orphaned after a series of tragic events claimed the life of their father and then their mother just days later.
On July 11, West Palm Beach police said someone shot and killed 26-year old Jevaughn Suckoo inside his home.
Friends and family confirm that Caceres gave birth just days after his death but suffered complications from a C-section while birthing the twins.
Caceres died on the same day as her boyfriend's funeral.
Caceres" mother, Irma Meza, told WPTV that her daughter had long expressed dreams of taking care of her because she has diabetes, "not knowing that I'm going to be taking care of her kids'.
The couple already had a daughter who is nearly 2 years old, Suckoo's father, Dwight, said.
"I think right now we're just very focused on the children, making sure that they're OK", Joni Saunders, Suckoo's aunt, told CBS 12.
A Florida family is reeling after three young children are left without their parents, who died separately within two weeks.
She said that Suckoo and Caceres were eagerly anticipating the twins only for a 'tragedy, a double whammy hit.
According to the family's GoFundMe page, Caceres, 24, developed an infection after giving birth and was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU).
