James Cromwell Cited for Trespassing at SeaWorld

According to a press release from the park, Kyara died after complications from an infection that had grown progressively worse over the past few days. Julie, an orca trainer who spent several hours with Kyara, said Kyara had a remarkable impact on care staff, and her loss will be felt throughout the SeaWorld family. The report also found that, in the past two years, eight whales and dolphins have died at the San Antonio park, and in the past 30 years, 150-infection related deaths occurred at the park's three locations.

SeaWorld welcomed Kyara into the world in April, heralding the calf's birth to 25-year-old Takara as "an exciting and emotional day for us". Her Mother was pregnant when SeaWorld, in March 2016, announced to end its captive breeding program.

SeaWorld has 22 orcas left in the U.S. SeaWorld then announced that it would phase out its whale performances by 2019. The documentary focused on the orca Tilikum that had killed trainer Dawn Brancheau in 2010.

The veteran actor and vegan was protesting against Seaworld's treatment of orca whales when he was put into handcuffs and taken into custody - along with his fellow protestors.

Actor James Cromwell has received a trespassing citation after he was arrested for leading a protest at SeaWorld in San Diego, California on Monday (24Jul17).

"Being the head of security for a failing business may be frustrating, but physically attacking peaceful PETA protesters who want only to plead for the release of the animals at SeaWorld is inexcusable conduct", says PETA President Ingrid Newkirk.
