Actress abduction case: Dileep Madhavan's wife questioned

Kochi: The Special Investigation Team probing the actor abduction and sexual assault case questioned Kavya Madhavan, Dileep's wife, for almost five hours on Tuesday, especially on the "missing links" with regard to the conspiracy. The actor, an accused in the February 17 actress attack case, had approached the High Court for bail but his plea was rejected. Police sources said that Dileep believed that the victim played a role in creating discord in his marital life with Warrier. The High Court has raised serious assertions in its order dismissing Dileep's bail plea.

Kavya Madhavan was reportedly questioned for over six hours at the ancestral home of Dileep.

Earlier, the court claimed that the mobile phone and the memory card used to record the criminal act has still not been recovered.

The Angamaly first class magistrate court extended the judicial custody of Dileep till August 8 after a hearing through video conferencing. It was to take her statement in the incident where a prominent Malayalam actress was assaulted. He was arrested based on a prima facie evidence, stated a police official. Several actors form the industry were shocked with the arrest. Despite that, the actress filed a complaint. It has to be noted that the main accused Pulsar Suni had indicated on visiting and leaving the memory card at a shop in Kakkanad before he was arrested.
