SRK instantly said 'yes' to 'Tubelight': Salman Khan

The famous songs of the film Tubelight provide a glimpse of the scenic beauty of North India. Well, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan will share the screen space after nearly 15 years. While the female lead, Katrina Kaif, confirmed that he does not age at all in the film, we still wonder which movie Salman was talking about in this interview. It is all set to hit the theatres on June 23. "Anybody who says going to war is great, I think, is acting stupid", Kabir said. "So I called him (SRK) and asked him about it and when I said I want you to do this small thing, even before I completed it, he said yes, let's do it", revealed Salman.

"We have always stood by this that war and problems are created by politics". Salman said, "Salman Khan loves loyalty, nothing better than loyalty".

Salman played a cameo in the film but left solid impression on the audiences.

The film was as long as any other Kabir Khan film but the CBFC chose to reduce its screen time, making it the shortest film of Salman Khan in recent times. Sultan, his last release, had a duration of two hours and 50 minutes. Before that, Bajrangi Bhaijaan was 2 hours 43 minutes and prior to that Prem Ratan Dhan Payo was nearly 3 hours long.

Directed by Kabir, Tubelight is based on the backdrop of Indo-China war, but it mainly is about the strong bond that Salman and Sohail's characters share in the movie.

Sparking curiosity among the fans about what's new in Salman Khan's next, they have already started making note of the locations where he has been dancing carefree with his real and reel brother Sohail Khan. The film also stars the late Om Puri. It is co-produced by Amar Butala.

Slated to be released on the occasion of Eid, Tubelight is expected to have a massive opening at the box office, like most other Salman Khan movies.
