"I appeal to all Chief Ministers to ensure security of Kashmiris", he told reporters in New Delhi.
Strongly condemning such incidents, Singh said, "I have come to know that there were a few incidents of misbehaviour towards Kashmiris in some places". Even they are part of INDIA.
The minister has also asked the home ministry officials to issue an advisory in this regard.

Singh's appeal came against the backdrop of recent attacks on Kashmiri students in Rajasthan and surfacing of threat banners in Uttar Pradesh asking Kashmiris to leave. I appeal to all the youth to consider them as their brothers. Strict action will be taken against anyone who mistreats any Kashmiri youth. The assault is the latest incident of violence against Kashmiris studying at Chittorgarh's Mewar University, which has around 500 students from Jammu and Kashmir.
As per a statement, the party has expressed serious concern over the alleged harassment faced by the Kashmiri students studying outside the state, and demanded swift action into this incident to punish the guilty.
