Facebook has relentlessly been copying some of Snapchat's core features across several of its products.
Additionally, the social media firm indicated that it is aligning with brands to develop masks for forthcoming movies like Alien: Covenant, Depicable Me 3, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Power Rangers, Wonder Woman and Smurfs: The Lost Village.
They can now share this content to a Snapchat clone called "Facebook Stories" that appears above News Feed on mobile and works similar to Instagram's 24-hour slideshows.
On Tuesday the social network announced it's bringing into its main app a new Stories feature that allows photos and videos to be shared "as part of a visual collection atop News Feed". According to Facebook, once your friend views the photo or video, they can replay it or write a reply, but once the conversation ends the content disappears.
To create a new story, you simply tap on the "Your Story" icon in the Stories bar at the top of your feed.

About 208,584 of the affected vehicles are in the USA and federalized territories, 21,854 are in Canada and 318 are in Mexico. The new door latch recall includes 211,000 2014 model year Ford Fiesta, 2013-14 Ford Fusion and 2013-14 Lincoln MKZ vehicles.
Expect the new features to hit the app stores in the coming days. While Instagram allows you to add stickers on the photo or video after the picture is clicked, Facebook allows to add an animated filter before clicking the picture.
Next in line of features is Facebook Stories.
Just like Snapchat and Instagram, the "stories" will vanish from the timeline after 24 hours.
And since then, it has cloned some of Snapchat's most popular features in an all-out effort to maintain dominance in the arena of photo and video communication.
These filters and camera effects will be available to users from the moment they open the camera in the Facebook app.
According to a promotional video launching the features Facebook has created the new camera feature because "sometimes there are just no words so maybe we should let our cameras do more of the talking".
