What: No. 1 Gonzaga vs.
For as unconvincing as Gonzaga was in the first half - its 26 points were the second-lowest output this season - the Bulldogs showed up as the No. 1 seed in the West Region during the final 20 minutes. He shot 3 of 8 from the field, including a pair of rim-rattling dunks that helped the Zags (33-1) pull away for good in the second half.
The Bulldogs eased to a 66-46 win.
KXLY 4's Will Sherratt and Keith Osso have reaction from the locker room after the win. Bucknell is loaded with accurate shooters and has won 14 of its last 16 games.
After the game, everybody was thrilled, and for good reason. Gonzaga presents too many interior mismatches for South Dakota State and the Jackrabbits' tendency to rely on one player to propel their offense is a recipe for disaster against a tough Bulldogs defense. They're ranked 2nd in the AP Top 25, are making their 19th straight appearance in the NCAA tournament and they're hungry to achieve the high-end goals that have so far eluded them. Should the Wildcats get past either New Orleans or Mount St. Mary's, they could then face a Wisconsin team ranked 23rd in overall efficiency on Kenpom, with an All-America caliber big man in Ethan Happ who could team with Nigel Hayes to give Villanova headaches inside. The eighth-seeded Wildcats will open play against ninth-seeded Vanderbilt (19-15) in Salt Lake City with the victor facing the Gonzaga-South Dakota State victor.

From there, the West Coast Conference's top team took control.
Collins stepped in and sparked Gonzaga's offense in a hard first half.
That 1-16 game, someone can have that from here on out.
Northwestern made it to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history, and made the most of it with a spectacular win against Vanderbilt. Once they did, they never looked back. "It's not going to be easy, and we'll have to meet a lot of challenges". Three other Bulldogs hit double figures, no other Jackrabbits did.
But coach Mark Few believes that this year's team dominates "like no team we've ever had".
Whoever comes away the champ in this West Region game will face the No. 8 Northwestern - No. 9 Vanderbilt victor in the round of 32 on March 18.
