One day after accused killer Markeith Loyd cursed at a judge in a court appearance for allegedly killing his pregnant ex-girlfriend, he came back to court to face the same judge for charges of killing a veteran Orlando police officer.
Bigney noted that Loyd did not have a lawyer present, and asked him if wanted a public defender, but Loyd declined and indicated that he would defend himself against charges of killing his pregnant ex-girlfriend Sade Dixon on December 13, 2016, notes the Orlando Sentinel.
The video appears to show officers kicking Loyd in the head after he crawls toward them from his hiding spot at an abandoned Carver Shores home.
During a brief hearing, Loyd said he planned to represent himself in court, denied resisting arrest and said arresting officers "took my eye" and broke his jaw and nose.
Loyd can be seen looping around while pulling a handgun from the waistband of his trousers before taking cover behind a concrete pillar, the warrant said.
Orlando Police Chief John Mina says Loyd initially tried to escape out the back but then ran back inside the house.
Mina tweeted, "Captured and wearing Lt. Debra Clayton's handcuffs". Loyd said investigators have been lying about what happened and told the judge someone else killed Sade Dixon.

Ramadoss said members of the student and youth wings of the PMK are participating in the ongoing statewide Jallikattu protests. A-G Rohatgi said, "Sports fall within the domain of the State, it does not fall within the domain of the Centre".
According to security video of the incident, Loyd, wearing a distinct black shirt with the word "Security" on it, is seen walking out of the Walmart.
The judge set no bond for the first three charges and a total of $30,000 for the last two, guaranteeing that Loyd will stay in jail pending his trial. Mina said Clayton was still alive when, he said, Loyd stood "over her defenseless body" and fired multiple shots at her, killing her.
Mina said he expects more arrests in the case for anyone who helped him evade police. As he left the courtroom, he spat a curse at her.
Loyd killed Clayton "execution-style", Mina said.
"Everything you say is being recorded, sir", said the judge, who reminded him he was under oath. He was hospitalized until late Wednesday. Loyd's arrest was the result of detective work, not tips from the public, Mina said, despite a $125,000 reward for information leading to Loyd's arrest.
In connection with Dixon's death, Loyd was charged with one count of first-degree murder with a firearm, one count of unlawful killing of an unborn child, one count of attempted first-degree murder with a firearm and two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm.
